Ethical Child Astrology

Our promise to children

Reading a child's chart is a privilege that needs particular care. A child can't consent to being read, and they are still becoming who they are. These principles guide every reading, report and conversation.

  1. i
No fatalistic predictionsA chart describes possibilities, never a fixed future.
  2. ii
No frightening languageNothing in a reading should leave you anxious about your child.
  3. iii
No predictions of illness, death, tragedy or traumaThese are never discussed from a child's chart.
  4. iv
No declarations about their futureCareer, sexuality, relationships and life outcomes belong to your child.
  5. v
No negative labelsNo child is described as difficult, bad or broken.
  6. vi
No fixed personalitiesWe say "the chart suggests", never "your child is".
  7. vii
No diagnosisAstrology can't identify psychological, educational or medical conditions. Where these come up, we'll suggest a qualified professional.
  8. viii
Challenges as invitationsHarder chart patterns are read as areas for patience, awareness and constructive expression.
  9. ix
Respect for their future autonomyYour child may one day read what was written about them. Everything is written with that in mind.
  10. x
Minimal sensitive recordsWe avoid writing down highly sensitive interpretations about a child.
  11. xi
Parents decideYou remain responsible for parenting and educational decisions. A reading informs; it never instructs.
  12. xii
Observation comes firstAstrology adds to what you see in your child. It never replaces it.

Astrological consultations provide an interpretive framework for reflection and personal insight. Astrology is not a scientifically validated method of psychological, educational or medical assessment, and readings don't replace advice from qualified professionals. For children in particular, chart interpretations describe possibilities, not fixed characteristics or predetermined outcomes. Read the full disclaimer.
